Shane Carwin took to his blog over at shane-carwin.com to update fans on the status of his injury. He originally stated a week back that he was gearing up to make a return to the cage, unfortunately now the doctors said he either retires or has surgery. Carwin decided on the later and will hope to make a spring/summer 2012 return to the UFC cage.
Rory MacDonald is set to step back into the octagon against Brian Ebersole at UFC 140 in Toronto, Canada. The Canadian born MacDonald is coming off of a dominating win over Mike Pyle at UFC 133. MacDonald is currently 3-1 in the UFC with his only loss coming at the hands of the current number one contender in the welterweight division Carlos Condit.

Cincinnati, Ohio – Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich "Ace" Franklin underwent shoulder surgery yesterday to repair his torn labrum, an injury that occurred during a grappling practice last month. Franklin’s manager, JT Stewart, announced today the surgery was a complete success and that he is expected to make a full recovery.
Just days after the WWE released footage of their newest video game release WWE:12 which features Brock Lesnar, UFC President Dana White comments on this move. Well it's not so much a move, but money for Brock. White makes a point to the media that it doesn't matter if he's in a video game for the company, but Brock will not wrestle in the WWE while he is under contract with the UFC.
