The UFC is set to take stage in Japan for the first time in nearly a decade. The organization will be heading over seas on February 25, 2012 and in the main event will be a lightweight showdown between Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson.
The battle of the two of the toughest chins at heavyweight has been made for UFC 144. France's Cheick Kongo will be fighting the "Super Samoan" Mark Hunt in Japan on February 26, 2012.
Fans have been flocking to the message boards and twitter questioning and begging for Brittney Palmer to come back to the UFC. Dana White said that she was never gone, that she was just pursuing her art career. Dana White sent out a tweet a few weeks ago asking fans if they wanted to see the fan favourite octagon girl back in the UFC.
Undefeated Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov has verbally agreed to make his UFC debut against powerful wrestler Kamal ‘Prince of Persia' Shalorus January 20 in Nashville," said UFC President Dana White.
It is rumored that verbal agreements are now in place for a fight between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Stephan Bonnar for some time in 2012.
Bonnar requested this fight via his twitter account following his most recent victory over Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 139 this past weekend.
"The Polish Experiment" Krzysztof Soszynski will step into the octagon against Igor Pokrajac on December 10 at UFC 140 in Toronto, Canada. The Canadian, Soszynski, will look to keep his win streak alive with a key victory against Pokrajac. His record is 6-2 within the UFC, with 3 of his 8 fights picking up "Fight Night" Bonuses.
Phil "Mr. Wonderful" Davis has not fought in the UFC since back in March where he beat Antônio Rogério Nogueira to extend his unbeaten streak to nine. He came in to the UFC in February of 2010 and has since beat the likes of Brian Stann, Alexander Gustafsson, Rodney Wallace, Tim Boetsch and the above mentioned "Little Nog".
It looks like Jason "Mayhem" Miller has his game-plan set for his fight against Michael Bisping at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale on Dec. 3 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
