Chad Mendes calls out Ricardo Lamas; Lamas says he’s already fighting in May

Unfortunate news came for UFC 157 fighter Chad Mendes, as his opponent Manny Gamburyan was forced to withdraw from their main card fight with numerous injuries.

When Mendes found out that Gamburyan was out of the match-up he figured he would take measures into his own hands and call out someone near the top of the division.

The ploy was a great idea, however it looks like “The Bully” already has a fight contract signed and will step inside the Octagon in May.

With top contender Lamas out of the equation, Mendes will have to sit and wait for the UFC to find a short notice replacement for his fight which goes down in just under two weeks.
