In an interview with the nypost.com, Chael Sonnen had some choice words for UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
“I don’t think there’s gonna be much left of [Jones] when Dan Henderson gets done with him. If there’s anything left of him, I’d be happy to play cleanup.”
As it’s stated above, Sonnen does not feel that Jones has what it takes to beat his longtime friend, Dan Henderson. When Jones heard the remarks that Sonnen had made, he quickly took to his Twitter account to respond.
@sonnench and you call me a punk, I’m more man than you’ll ever be. #Coward #Cheater
@sonnench If you’re going to disrespect me out of nowhere, at least disrespect me to my face like a man.
@sonnench the things you say about me hold absolutely no weight, you disrespected Anderson and his country but fought like a child.
Now that Chael Sonnen has made the move to 205lbs and will fight Forrest Griffin on December 29, it looks like he might has his sights set beyond Griffin.
