Combate Global: Mora vs. Cisneros Results

Combate Global returns to Miami, Fla. for a main event between bantamweight promotional newcomers Sean Mora and Victor Cisneros.

Friday’s Combate card is scheduled to stream live on Paramount Plus beginning at 11 a.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.

Main Event

The meeting between Mora (2-0) and Cisneros (5-0) should produce fireworks. Mexico’s Cisneros has been on an absolute tear since turning professional, finishing each of his five opponents in under a minute. His first three wins came by way of armbar, and he earned his first career knockout victory in his fourth fight. His most recent win saw him lock up the first kimura of his career, and he will be looking for another quick stoppage with more eyeballs on him than ever.

To do it, Cisneros will need to get through Mora, a fighter of Cuban descent. Mora got his start fighting in Titan Fighting Championships, the setting for each of his professional wins. Conversely to his opponent, Mora went to the judges’ scorecards in each of those fights.  If he can extend Cisneros, he’ll stand a good chance of extending his current run to 3-0. Mora also fought on the amateur scene, stringing together a four-fight winning streak in Miami-based Xtreme Fighting Nation.

Rest of the Card

Flyweights Kyle Estrada (11-7) and Cristian Barraza (8-6) will compete in the second fight from the top. The matchup could serve as a turning point for the winner, as Barraza comes into the fight riding a three-fight losing streak while Estrada, an LFA veteran, has dropped three of his last four. Jimmy Sandlin (7-6) is also scheduled to fight Spaniard Sebas Santana (8-5-1). Sandlin is looking to avoid dropping to .500, while Santana hopes to snap a three-fight skid. A flyweight tilt between Leandro Soares and Elias Garcia will open the show. Soares, the lone Brazilian on the card, started his career 8-0, but has since gone 2-3-1 over his last six. He’ll have a chance to make it two-in-a-row against Garcia, who an American who returned to the sport in 2021 following a three-year hiatus. His previous loss came to recent UFC title challenger Kai Kara-France.

The show will be capped by a women’s atomweight bout between Nadine Abbott and Ariana Melendez on the post-lims.
