Dan Henderson will be Jon Jones’ next opponent

Immediately following Jon Jones’ title defence against Rashad Evans at UFC 145 his next opponent was unveiled.

At the UFC 145 post-fight press conference UFC President Dana White announced that Jon Jones’ next opponent was in fact Dan Henderson.

Henderson who has been waiting on the sidelines for a UFC title shot, has not fought since Nov. 19, 2011 when he beat Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 139. That win earned Hendo the right to fight for either the light heavyweight or middleweight championship. He made his mind up that he felt more comfortable taking on Jones and would wait until that time came.

Well, we now know that that time has come. No official date or venue has been named for this fight yet.
