Dana White furious over SMMAF’s decision to pull Alexander Gustafsson from UFC on FUEL TV 9 main event

As you are all well aware of, the SMMAF Medical Committee has pulled UFC Light Heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson from his main event battle against Gegard Mousasi at UFC on FUEL TV 9 this Saturday night.

The UFC decided to replace “The Mauler” with one of his close training partners, Ilir Latifi. UFC President Dana White announced the latest match-up on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday morning, White sent a photo out of Gustafsson on his official Twitter account and was not too pleased.

As you can see in the above photo, Gustafsson’s cut seems to be out of sight. According to White, Gustafsson wants to fight this Saturday night, however has been pulled due to the Swedish Commission.

When fighters make their way to the Octagon they are very rarely coming into the bout at 100% and if they are injured, White and the UFC brass usually completely agree with the Athletic Commission and/or the doctor’s decision to pull them from the fight. Unfortunately this time around the President believes this was the “Worst decision” he has “EVER” seen for a fight to be pulled.
