Dana White says with loss Chael Sonnen is now “back at the end of the line”

Chael Sonnen put Anderson Silva to the test in the first round of UFC 148, however he was TKO’d in the second round. This was his second go at the middleweight champ and both times he has failed.

Following this loss, Sonnen’s coach is looking to push for a third fight and suggested that Silva was “cheating” en route to a second round TKO in the UFC 148 main event.

UFC President Dana White spoke with HDNet’s Ron Kruck following the event and has decided that Sonnen will need to climb right back up the middleweight rankings.

“[Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen] is the biggest everything in UFC history. It’s the biggest rivalry, the biggest fight. We broke every record as far as the business goes that we’ve ever had this weekend…. This one was pretty decisive. He’s beat him twice. It’s not like this is the rubber match. He beat him twice. He beat him. Chael is in a position that most guys are — when you go on a run at the title, and you lost two times, back at the end of the line.”
