Dana White says Michael Bisping will get middleweight title shot with win over Vitor Belfort

At UFC on FX 7 on January 19, Michael Bisping will square off against Vitor Belfort in the main event.

Bisping considers himself the number one contender in the UFC’s middleweight division and it sounds like a win over Belfort will indeed make him that. At the UFC 155 post-fight press conference UFC President Dana White confirmed that if “The Count” beats Belfort then he is the clear cut number one contender for Anderson Silva’s middleweight championship.

“If Bisping wins, he’ll get the shot.”

We have heard White promise title shots before, but only time will tell for Mr.Bisping.

Bisping has been with the UFC since 2006 when he won Season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter. He was 11-0 upon entering and has since gone 13-4 inside the Octagon. His latest victory was at UFC 152 where he defeated Brian Stann by Unanimous Decision.
