Dana White: “The NSAC is atrocious”

After the UFC 167 main event concluded and Georges St-Pierre remained welterweight champion, President Dana White let his feelings be known about the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Dana White: “The NSAC is atrocious”

“I think NSAC is atrocious. I think the governor needs to step in immediately before they destroy this sport like they did boxing”

He made these statements in reference to the controversial split decision ending to tonight’s welterweight title bout. White, and many others, are upset at not only the egregious scores and decisions that seem to be occurring in Las Vegas on a regular basis, but also the complete lack of accountability that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has afforded to their officials. Judges’ decisions are never reviewed, nor are officials punished for blatantly bad scorecards. One can only hope that the UFC President’s indirect appeal to the state’s governor can help correct these issues.

UFC 167 went down on November 18th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The main event saw Georges St. Pierre retain his UFC Welterweight Title in a controversial split decision over Johny Hendricks. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other events.
