This week is International Fight Week and the UFC is taking over Las Vegas for UFC 148. This is the most anticipated card of the year, with the “rematch of the century” between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.
Many UFC events claim to be sold out, however this one is having fans scramble to get tickets. UFC President Dana White is going to try and help out.
“When I say [UFC 148] is sold out, people are having a hard time even buying tickets this thing is so sold out. But, I always hold tickets for Twitter fans. What we’re going to do for this fight is that I’m going to have 10 pairs of tickets … of these most expensive [seats] you can buy in the arena. The best seats in the house that I am holding for you, the Twitter fans. Here’s the deal: You have to show up [on July 6, 2012] with a can of Edge shave gel. It could be me on it or Dominick Cruz, or any of the other guys who are on the can, which will enter you to win the tickets. We’re going to Tweet them Friday after the weigh in [in Las Vegas, Nevada] down around Mandalay Bay somewhere. I’ll have more details as we get closer … it’s worth it, they are bad ass tickets — you can’t buy these tickets; you couldn’t ever buy these tickets –they’re ours out of our block. They’re the best seats in the house! I’ll see you Friday.”
