After losing his bout with Isaac Valle-Flagg to Pride legend Takanori Gomi, Team Alpha Male’s Danny Castillo has gotten himself a consolation prize: A fight with Charlie Brenneman at UFC 172.

UFC officials announced the clash earlier today.
Danny “Last Call” Castillo (16-6) is currently one of the heaviest members of Team Alpha Male competing in the UFC. The lightweight was last seen coming out on the unhappy side of a “Fight of the Night” award-winner against human highlight reel Edson Barboza at UFC on FOX 9. Will he be able to get back on the winning track in the immensely deep 155 lbs. division with a victory over “The Spaniard?”
Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman is currently on his second tour of duty with the UFC. Released after a 4-4 stint at welterweight, Brenneman went on a tear in the regional scene before being called back for a fight against debutant Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 35 that didn’t go his way. Will he be able to keep his current UFC run alive with a victory over the Team Alpha Male member?
UFC 172 goes down on April 26th at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, MD. The main event sees Light Heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones defend his title against Brazilian murder machine Glover Teixeira. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other upcoming events.
