VICE TV Dark Side of… Series Expands to MMA with Dark Side of the Cage
Fans of VICE TV’s ‘Dark Side’ series, particularly Dark Side of the Ring which took viewers behind the scenes of the world of professional wrestling, have another great series to watch in 2025. Making their debut earlier this month, VICE TV recently released their pilot episode of Dark Side of the Cage featuring the legendary Kimbo Slice and his ascension through the sport of mixed martial arts.
In an exclusive interview for MMASucka.com with Tim Healy, a consultant for Dark Side of the Cage, he discussed how the series was created, the focus they had in telling stories through the words of those directly involved, including fighters, and gave a look forward to some of the episodes ahead.
Don’t Be Fooled by Dark Side of the Cage Signature
While the title of the series has the term “dark side” in it, Healy emphasized that not all of the stories featured on Dark Side of the Cage are tragic or saddening, but all the stories are critical to the history of the sport. Their second episode, releasing on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, features UFC veteran and former title challenger Diego Sanchez.
The second episode of Dark Side of the Cage will not only feature the career of Sanchez, but also his encounter with trainer Joshua Fabia. In their time together, Sanchez would leave his longtime gym of JacksonWink MMA, training exclusively with Fabia, under quite bizarre training rituals.
