It was not the originally intended main event, but the Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi topped UFC 186 in a UFC Flyweight Title bout at Montreal, Quebec’s Bell Centre. The fight came right down to the wire. The Japanese challenger was game, even managing to take the champion down briefly early in the fight, but “Mighty Mouse” continues to show why his name is rightly discussed when deciding the top pound for pound rankings. After controlling Horiguchi for all 5 rounds, Johnson forced him to tap at to an armbar at 4:59 of the 5th round. He probably would have won on the judges cards, but the last second submission was exciting.
