A welterweight clash is the latest addition to the stacked UFC 187 card, as top 10 ranked Dong Hyun Kim is set to take on Josh Burkman.

UFC officials announced the matchup on Monday.
Kim (19-3-1, 1 NC) is coming off a first-round knockout loss to No. 3 ranked welterweight Tyron Woodley at UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau. Prior to that, ‘Stun Gun’ picked up a knockout of his own against John Hathaway, in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Hathaway, in early 2014.
Burkman (27-11) re-signed to the promotion following a successful run in multiple other organizations including WSOF, but was unsuccessful in his return against top ranked 170er, Hector Lombard. They squared off at UFC 182 in January, and Burkman lost via decision.
This bout is set for the main card.
UFC 187 takes place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 23. In the main event, UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones takes on Anthony Johnson. Also, middleweight titleholder Chris Weidman defends his belt against Vitor Belfort.
