Setting the stage for a sure-to-be fantastic ninth season, Dana White’s Contender Series returns with DWCS 77 and another fresh crop of promising young talent looking to make their way into the UFC. Taking top billing in DWCS 77, undefeated French fighter Ilian Bouafia locks horns with Brazilian slugger Neemias Santana. In the co-main event, Ty Miller grapples with Jimmy Drago.
DWCS 77 Main Event
Making his professional debut a mere four years ago, Bouafia has remained perfect in his career, scoring seven wins in a row. Taking a chance on himself for a spot in the big leagues, “The Gorilla” accepts his toughest assignment yet in DWCS 77’s headlining bout.
Riding a four-bout unbeaten streak, including three knockouts, Santana appears in fine form since his last defeat back in 2022. Standing as the latest in a long line of formidable Brazilian athletes who have competed on the show, the LFA veteran is on the hunt for another highlight reel finish, and a UFC contract.
DWCS 77 Co-Main Event
Unblemished as a professional martial artist, Miller has not suffered defeat since making his freshman outing as an amateur back in 2018. Residing in the win column in the seven years since then, the Fit NHB product wants nothing more than to take his place among the greatest in the sport in DWCS 77.
Fighting a mere five months ago, Drago will make a relatively quick turnaround in a high-profile matchup on the Contender Series. Although his opponent is undefeated, the New York phenom has had great success against individuals who have never lost, previously toppling four men who had zeros in their records.
