DWCS 79, the third week of season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series, is here! Tonight, the only major MMA show on the schedule for this week leading into the Labor Day holiday takes place at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, NV.
Live coverage of DWCS 79 begins at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ inside the United States. Internationally, the show will be seen over UFC Fight Pass. After a successful (and quick) weigh-in window Monday morning, all five fights on tonight’s itinerary will take place as scheduled.
DWCS 79 Main Event:
At the top of the bill tonight in DWCS 79, you’ll be treated to a middleweight showdown between Trent Miller (8-2 MMA) and Ryan Gandra (7-1 MMA.) All fights on the show are three rounds at five minutes per round.
DWCS 79 Co-Main Event
Immediately beforehand, the co-main event of the evening takes place at featherweight. Marcio Barbosa (16-2 MMA) meets up with Damon Wilson (9-2 MMA.)

Also tonight on the show, you’ll see a light heavyweight battle between Alik Lorenz (6-1 MMA) and Abdul-Rahkman Yakhyaev (6-0 MMA), a lightweight contest matching Cristian Perez (13-1 MMA) against Manoel Sousa (12-1 MMA), and a heavyweight showcase pairing Darion Abbey (7-4 MMA) with Donte Johnson (5-0 MMA.)
