Ed Herman draws Jake Shields in a middleweight match-up at UFC 150 in Denver

UFC 150 is set to go down in Denver, Colorado on August 11. Dana White took to his twitter account today and announced a middleweight match-up that he “likes.”

UFC 150 Sat Aug 11 Denver, CO Middleweight Bout Ed Herman VS Jake Shields. I like that fight!

There was plenty of talk about Jake Shields  (27-6-1) making a move to the middleweight division after going 2-2 in his UFC career. When Shields made the move over to the UFC he was the former Strikeforce Middleweight champion and had beat the likes of Dan Henderson and Jason “Mayhem” Miller. Most recently Shields picked up a unanimous decision victory over Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 144.

Ed Herman is currently on a three fight win streak. After nearly a two year lay-off Herman defeated Tim Credeur via TKO in his first fight back and then went on to defeat Kyle Noke and Clifford Starks in his next two bouts.

Look for this fight to be somewhere on the main card at UFC 150 which will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado this August.
