Eddie Alvarez vs. Patricky “Pitbull” Freire at Bellator 76

Eddie Alvarez’s final fight on his Bellator contract has been signed.

Bellator CEO and Chairman Bjorn Rebney announced today via twitter that former light heavyweight champion Alvarez will face off against Patricky “Pitbull” Freire at Bellator 76.

The event takes place on October 12 at Caesars Windsor Hotel & Casino in Ontario, Canada.

Alvarez (23-3) lost his belt to Michael Chandler back in November. His most recent fight was against Shinya Aoki at Bellator 76 where he picked up a quick TKO victory.

Freire (10-3) has not faired so well in the organization, as he went 1-2 in his last 3 fights and 3-2 under the Bellator flag. He holds losses to Michael Chandler and Lloyd Woodard and his lone win was a TKO over former UFC vet Kurt Pellegrino.
