Evan Dunham vs. Edson Barboza announced for UFC 146

“It’s UFC 146 and it’s May 26th for Barboza vs Dunham.”

-Dana White’s Twitter @danawhite, February 19, 2012

The UFC 146 fight card is coming together with it’s third fight announcement as Evan Dunham is set to face undefeated Edson Barboza in the lightweight division.

Dunham is on a two fight winning streak.  His last win against Nik Lentz was a back and forth war that earned a fight of the night bonus. A strong showing against Barboza will put Dunham back in the title contention talks.

With a record of 10-0, 7 of which were knockouts, Barboza has become one of the most talked about fighters to come out of Brazil.  In his last fight against Terry Etim, Barboza landed the first spinning wheel kick knockout in UFC history, and earned a knockout of the night honors.

The UFC 146 card, held in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will feature Jason Miller versus C.B. Dollaway, and Junior Dos Santos versus Alistair Overeem for the heavyweight championship.
