Fabricio Andrey has wowed grappling fans around the world. On Friday, April 4, he will step foot onto the global stage with his ONE Championship debut in U.S. primetime on Prime Video. The Brazilian will meet Ashley Williams in a featherweight submission grappling contest at ONE Fight Night 30.
Fabricio Andrey Introduces Himself to First-Time Viewers Ahead of ONE Fight Night 30 Friday
“For the fans who have never seen me compete before, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Fabricio Andrey, better known as ‘Hokage.’ And my style of grappling is like this, it’s the ‘Crazy Dog Show,’” Fabricio Andrey stated to ONE.

Fabricio Andrey has already been hard at work identifying what his opponent does best inside the ring. While he is not sure of his weaknesses, Andrey feels his physical gifts will help carry him throughout the 10-minute match. Still, the BJJ star will be attentive so as not to get caught off-guard.
“I think his best attacks are the leg locks and heel hooks. It’s not something that worries me, but I have to be careful during the fight so that nothing unexpected happens. But we’re already working and training in the best way possible so that we don’t get caught out of position during the fight,” Andrey said.
Fabricio Andrey Hoping For Easy Night Friday
Williams will be entering intent on getting a submission win. However, that may prove difficult as Fabricio Andrey is one of the best defensive grapplers on the planet. Still, he is focusing on his offense ahead of the featherweight clash in Bangkok, Thailand.
“I’ve fought a lot of good guard players. I’ve fought a lot of good wrestlers. I’ve managed to take down the best wrestlers in my category. I’ve managed to pass the guard of the best guard players in my division. I’ve managed to take down the best judokas. So, why not submit someone who is difficult to submit? Let’s go.”
“Hokage” Dishes on Gameplan
Andrey is already expecting to be working from top position on April 4. The Brazilian believes his Welsh counterpart will want to work from his guard. If that proves true, Andrey is confident he can secure the submission victory.
“He’s going to try to take me down in the first 20 seconds. He’s going to take two heavy slaps on the neck, then he’s going to jump into closed guard or some other guard that allows him to wrap around my legs. I’m going to get out, pass his guard, take his back, and submit him.”
ONE Fight Night 30 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, April 4. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers based in the U.S. and Canada.
