ONE FC: Kojima vs. Leone adds Ahmad-Pucci, Latoel-Ni

A series of match-ups and a change were reported to MMASucka.com early this afternoon by officials from ONE Fighitng Championship, with regards to the promotion’s upcoming event which is set to take place on September 13th at the Istora Senayan situated in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This event will be ONE FC’s second venture into Indonesian territory, which will be headlined by top contenders Andrew Leone and Shinichi Kojima.

ONE FC: Kojima vs. Leone adds Ahmad-Pucci, Latoel-Ni

2 more bouts have been added to the fight card which looks to be shaping up rather nicely. In the Featherweight division, Bashir Ahmad (2-0), known as the pioneer of Pakistani MMA, will be going head-to-head with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace, Bruno Pucci (2-0). The second-match-up, in the meantime, pits two experienced fighters against one another who happen to hail from the same country – the Netherlands. Vincent Latoel (13-13-2), a Shooto veteran with over 26 fights, is set to square off against Willy Ni (15-7), a product from the famed Mike’s Gym that has produced the likes of Melvin Manhoef in recent times.

Following his 3-round war and victory over Shannon Wiratchai at ONE FC 8: Kings & Champions, Bashir Ahmad has gained considerable praise and attention. But his toughest test awaits him in the form of Bruno Pucci, who is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt and a 2-time No-Gi Grappling World champion out of the Singapore-based Evolve MMA.

Both Vincent Latoel and Willy Ni will be desperate to get back in the win-column following defeats in their last outings. With Latoel having 12 defeats by way of submission, that could prove to be advantageous for Ni who has 9 submission wins to date, setting up an interesting encounter between the two on September 13th.

ONE FC CEO Victor Cui stated, “ONE FC will be back in Jakarta on 13 September with a fight card that is sure to get the adrenaline pumping for the passionate Indonesian fight fans. Bruno Pucci and Bashir Ahmad are two of the most electrifying Featherweights in Asia and their encounter will deliver non-stop action. Indonesian standouts Vincent Latotel and Brianata Rosadhi are exciting fighters who always come ready to put on a show and I’m sure they will be looking to give the home fans something to cheer about. Thousands of fans in attendance and the millions watching live around the world are set for another evening of world-class MMA featuring the best in Asia.”

Brianata Rosadhi (1-0), of course, will be replacing Stefer Rahardian on the fight card. The latter combatant had to withdraw from the bout due to injury. Rosadhi, an Indonesian, is a Wushu champion who will be making his 2nd professional Mixed Martial Arts appearance. His opponent, Raymond Tan, holds a 1-0 resume as well and hails from Penang Top Team in Malaysia.
