FEN 39 Results

The FEN Heavyweight Title Fight will headline FEN 39, which takes place in Ząbki. The reigning champion Oli Thompson will face the challenger, KSW veteran Michał Andryszak. In addition, a new FEN Featherweight Champion will be crowned, as Kacper Formela will fight for the title against Nicolae Hantea

FEN 39 Main Event – Heavyweight Title Fight

Thompson has been the FEN Heavyweight Champion since June 2020, when he unexpectedly knocked out Szymon Bajor in the first round. One and a half years after winning the belt, ‘The Spartan” will be able to defend it for the first time. The Englishman, who is a Bellator, IGF, and KSW alumni himself, will have to face a very tough opponent in the FEN 39 main event.

Andryszak has long been at the forefront of the heavyweight category in Poland’s MMA competition circuit. He is the former Heavyweight Title challenger in both KSW and ACA. The representative of a renowned Ankos MMA Gym had a very successful promotional debut. In the main event of FEN 38, he faced Evgeniy Golub and knocked him out in less than a minute.

Rest of the Card

A new featherweight FEN champion will be determined in the co-main event. Originally, Formela’s opponent in the title fight was supposed to be Arkadiy Osipyan, who fights under the Armenian flag, but has only Russian citizenship. Due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, FEN decided to remove him from the fight, with Hantea being his replacement. Despite this occurrence, this matchup remains a title fight.

Marcin Wójcik‘s matchup against Paweł Hadas, who returns to the cage after over five years hiatus, also promises to be interesting. Bartosz Szewczyk, Łukasz Charzewski and Robert Bryczek.
