Looking at the numbers above you can see that the controversy is definitely worth talking about.

On the FX portion of the UFC on FOX 7 event, Francis Carmont took home a unanimous decision victory over former Strikeforce fighter Lorenz Larkin.

Larkin came into the Octagon undefeated and looked to continue that after three rounds of landing more punches than Carmont. However when the judges read their scorecards Carmont was the victor on all three.

Many thought the first round was the onewhich Carmont would get on the judges scorecards, but according to the FightMetric numbers, the third round was the closest, with Carmont landing a takedown. The first two rounds had Larkin landing way more significant strikes and his takedown defense was out of this world.

This fight wasn’t the first time Carmont has taken home a controversial decision. In his last outing, he defeated Tom Lawlor by split decision at UFC 154, however according to most fans and media members he should have lost that fight as well.
