Fights to Make After UFC on ESPN 19

Saturday night’s UFC on ESPN 19 event lost three fights on the card at the last minute, however the event still delivered with a great middleweight bout headlined by Jack Hermansson and Marvin Vettori. Vettori came away with the unanimous decision and then proceeded to call out fellow middleweight Paulo Costa. Have you gotten your bet365 bonus code for UFC on ESPN 19? Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Jourdain

The 23-year old Georgian stole the spotlight with his highlight knockout over Damon Jackson. He displayed beautiful striking as he dug to the body on multiple occasions through the first round. Topuria possesses a 10-0 professional record and is a rising prospect through the featherweight division. “Air” Jourdain has four fights in the UFC but is still only 25 years old and holds a 10-3-1 record.

Louis Smolka vs. Nathaniel Wood

Smolka earned a big victory on the prelims at UFC on ESPN 19. “Da Last Samurai” is 3-2 since his move to bantamweight. He’s in his second stint with the UFC and should find himself another notable opponent at 135 lbs. With a couple of common opponents, this fight is bound to get booked. Wood is coming off a decision loss last October but is 4-2 in his UFC career.

New Blood at 205lbs

Roman Dolidze vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu

The light heavyweight division is starting to slowly see the new crop of prospects and contenders. Dolidze cruised to a decision victory even though one judge had a questionable scorecard. He improves to 8-0 and is climbing the ladder. A matchup with the “African Savage” pushes through of the rising prospects at 205.

Jamahal Hill vs. Johnny Walker

Hill only has three fights in the UFC, however being a Contender Series veteran, it appears Hill is getting his push sooner rather than later. With a big victory over Ovince Saint Preux, Hill should expect a marquee matchup with another Contender Series veteran. Walker bounced back in his last bout with a big win over Ryan Spann. The winner of this could see themselves entering the top 10.

The Italian Dream

Marvin Vettori vs. Paulo Costa

Marvin Vettori has now won four in a row and has a case to be ranked inside the top 5. He displayed incredible heart and an overall game that is going to be a tough matchup for anyone at middleweight. Costa’s stock was depleted in his defeat against Israel Adesanya, but with the lack of middleweight contenders coming off wins, the winner of this could propel themselves into top contender status.
