Frankie Edgar gets rematch with Ben Henderson ‘this summer’

After much speculation not only by the public, but also by UFC President Dana White, Frankie Edgar will in fact get his rematch against Ben Henderson.

Edgar lost his lightweight title to Henderson at UFC 144 in Japan on February 25, 2012 in a somewhat controversial decision.

Earlier today the former champ went to twitter to announce the match to his fans…

“Rematch anyone??…….it’s on!! Thanks to @danawhite @lorenzofertitta. Me and Henderson 2. Here we go!!”

A few minutes later Dana White took to his twitter account to make it official…

“Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson rematch will be this summer”
