Jeremy Kennedy returns at BFL 43 against Drew Brokenshire

The main event is set for BFL 43, as the Battlefield Fight League featherweight champion Jeremy Kennedy returns to the cage for the first time in over a year to take on American Drew Brokenshire in a non-title affair.

BFL told MMASucka.com about the match-up earlier this week.

Kennedy (7-0) has been out of action since his BFL 34 match-up against Mario Pereira last January when he won the championship. Since making his professional debut in 2013, JBC has amassed an impressive 7-0 undefeated record, fighting in both Canada and Asia. The 23-year-old was forced to sit on the sidelines due to a couple of nagging injuries. However, 2016 seems to have kicked off with a bang, as he has gotten back to his grappling roots; winning a BJJ tournament.

Brokenshire (15-6) is a true veteran of the sport — beginning his pro career in 2007. The Tacoma, Washington native has been fairly active over his nine-year tenure. In his latest outing, “The Eternal Fire” tapped out Delane Lamere in the first round of SCL: Fight for Our Troops. Brokenshire’s biggest winning streak, was six-fights, that covered a two year span from 2012-2014.

BFL 43 goes down on May 7 from the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, B.C. Also on the fight card is a title fight between Jamie Siraj and Nick Ghaeni in the evening’s co-main event.
