Former Bellator Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica Aguilar has found a new home. The World Series of Fighting has announced today that they have signed the American Top Team member as the first addition to their women’s division.
WSOF confirmed the signing on their Facebook page earlier today.
Jessica Aguilar signs with World Series of Fighting
Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (16-4) was the last woman to hold Bellator’s Women’s Strawweight Championship, and also participated in the last bout before the division was dissolved. Since then, “Jag” would go on to score a second, slightly controversial victory over Megumi Fujii at Vale Tudo Japan 3, by way of Majority Technical Decision after a pair of eye pokes took Fujii out of the fight.
The World Series of Fighting has announced that Aguilar will make her debut at their January event, but no opponent has been announced at this time. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more as it develops.
