Following the no-contest ruling, Jones wasted no time changing his social media profile picture to a duck wearing an eye patch, a cheeky nod to fans who had accused him of ducking Aspinall by retiring before a unification bout. Now, in a new video from the weigh-ins of a promotion he co-owns, the former two-division champ has found yet another creative way to get under the Englishman’s skin.

While Jones’ earlier antics stayed confined to social media, his latest stunt took things to a whole new level. Making his first public appearance since the Abu Dhabi pay-per-view, Jones showed up in style and made sure everyone noticed.
At the Dirty Boxing Championships 4 ceremonial weigh-ins, Jones joined his business partner, Mike Perry, for the spectacle. For context, Perry and his wife made their entrance on the bed of a lifted truck surrounded by DBX ring girls. But Jones, never one to be outdone, arrived on a white horse, also flanked by the DBX ladies.

The twist? The horse was wearing an eye patch on its right eye, a not-so-subtle jab at Aspinall, who suffered the aforementioned eye poke at UFC 321. The trolling seems ironic at this point, as the Englishman had held the interim belt for over a year but never got to unify it with Jones as he announced his retirement, ending a long and frustrating saga.
Jones, when asked about his grand entrance by The Schmo, said, “Gotta do it right. We got the beautiful horse with the eye patch on, we’re having a good night.”

The irony once again is hard to miss. Jones is himself one of the most infamous eye pokers in UFC history and has now built an entire trolling campaign around an eye injury. Over the years, he has poked opponents like Glover Teixeira at UFC 172, Rampage Jackson at UFC 135, and Daniel Cormier at UFC 182.
In fact, Jackson recently joked that Jones actually practices eye pokes in training. While Aspinall hasn’t fired back yet, his condition remains concerning. His father, Andy Aspinall, recently revealed that the heavyweight champion’s eye still isn’t healed yet.
As for Jones, he is already looking ahead, expressing multiple times that he wants to headline the UFC’s White House card in June 2026 against whoever holds the heavyweight title at that point. These trolling antics might just be part of a bigger plan, a way to stir interest and pressure the UFC into giving him the spotlight again.
After all, Dana White has made it clear he is reluctant to book Jones for such a spectacle, citing his unreliability. But if there’s one thing Jones knows how to do, it’s keep himself in the headlines, with or without the Octagon.
