Jordan Mein replaces Dan Hardy; faces Matt Brown at UFC on FOX 7

A welterweight showdown between Canadian Jordan Mein and Matt Brown is on tap for UFC on FOX 7 on April 20.

Mein steps in on short notice for the injured Dan Hardy.

UFC officials announced the change late Thursday evening.

Mein (27-8) is coming off of his first UFC win at this past weekends UFC 158 event. He beat the always dangerous Dan Miller by TKO in the very first round.

On this past weeks episode of MMASucka Radio, Mein said he would face anyone in the welterweight division and it seems Brown is on that list.

Brown (16-11) last fought at UFC on FOX 5 this past December when he knocked out Mike Swick. This will be his first time inside the Octagon in 2013.

The man known as “Immortal” is currently riding a four fight winning streak.

UFC on FOX 7 goes down on April 20 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Headlining the card is a lightweight title fight between champ Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez.
