UFC lightweights Jorge Masvidal and James Krause are set to clash at UFC 178 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Masvidal has recently defeated Daron Cruickshank via unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 12 on the preliminary card. He was set to face Bobby Green also at UFC 178, but Green is now set to face Donald Cerrone.
Krause is coming off of a Doctor’s Stoppage victory at UFC 173 over Jamie Varner, who suffered an ankle injury in the first round. Their fight was stopped in between rounds.
UFC 178 takes place on September 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by Flyweight Champion Demtrious Johnson taking on Chris Cariaso. They replaced the highly anticipated Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier bout, because Jones has suffered a leg injury, putting their fight on hold.
