Jorge Masvidal wants to wrestle with Ben Askren

Jorge Masvidal admitted that he would be interested in facing Ben Askren again, but not in the UFC octagon. “Gamebred” believes he could win a wrestling match with “Funky.”

During his recent interview on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, Mike Majlak and George Janko, Jorge Masvidal said that he intends to work on his wrestling. All because of his recent loss at UFC 272 to Colby Covington, who utilized his ground game to secure a win. Masvidal confessed that he wants to be an even better MMA fighter, that’s why he has to improve his wrestling. During the conversation with the famous YouTuber, ‘Gamebred’ admitted that he would be more than happy to face his former opponent, Ben Askren

‘Funky’ has an extensive wrestling background as he’s a two-time NCAA champion and he trains wrestling at his own academy.

Ben Askren already answered Masvidal’s callout with the following tweet:

Both fighters fought at UFC 239 back in July 2019. Masvidal knocked out Askren with a flying knee in a fantastic and swift fashion. It took him only 5 seconds to knock out Askren and set the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history.  After the opening bell ‘Funky’ was rushing in for a takedown which ‘Gamebred’ used to his advantage and countered it with a perfectly timed flying knee.
