Jose Aldo Takes On Chad Mendes At UFC 142 In Brazil

Dana White announced an exciting match-up earlier today via FOXSports.com. He announced that Jose Aldo will defend his featherweight title against Chad Mendes at UFC 142 in Brazil.

The UFC has not yet officially announced the event, but UFC 142 is expected to take place January 14, 2012 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the HSBC Arena.

Aldo was given the UFC featherweight title when they merged the UFC and WEC. Since coming over to the UFC, Aldo is 2-0 with victories over Kenny Florian and Mark Hominick.

Mendes is not too shabby himself. He brings a perfect 11-0 record into this title fight with key victories over Michihiro Omigawa and Javier Vazquez. He will look to be the first UFC fighter to defeat Aldo and take the belt back home to the US.
