Kenny Robertson fills in for Jon Fitch; Takes on Aaron Simpson at UFC on FUEL TV 4

Jon Fitch had to step down from his fight at UFC on FUEL TV 4 against Aaron Simpson due to a knee injury.

It didn’t take the UFC long to find him a replacement.

Stepping in to welcome Aaron Simpson to the welterweight division will be returning striker Kenny Robertson. Robertson’s most recent win was a spectacular spinning back fist TKO over fellow UFC veteran Lucio Linhares.

Robertson (11-1) was on a 10-0 run when he finally got the call from the UFC. He stepped in to face Mike Pierce at UFC 126 in February of 2011 and unfortunately got brutalized by punches, eventually losing by TKO. He was released from the organization following that loss.

Robertson has only had one fight since that loss; he finished UFC veteran Lucio Linhares by an unbelievable spinning back fist.

Now with Jon Fitch out due to injury, Robertson was given a second shot in the UFC and will face-off against Simpson at UFC on FUEL TV 4 on July 11 in San Jose.
