We haven’t heard from Khama Worthy since his UFC debut back at UFC 241. There, he scored the biggest upset of the year in the promotion, a first round knockout of promising prospect Devonte Smith. Worthy’s second fight in the promotion has now reportedly been booked for UFC 249 in April. He will be taking on German prospect Ottman Azaitar. Khama Worthy posted the announcement to his Facebook page with the following caption:
It's going down April 18th Brooklyn New York????.

Khama Worthy vs. Ottman Azaitar at UFC 249
Khama Worthy comes into this fight with a career record of 15-6. He’s currently riding a six fight win streak which includes four finishes. Of his 15 total wins, nine have come via KO/TKO and two by way of submission. In his promotional debut, Worthy showed poise as he managed the distance against a very powerful puncher. He was patient but knew when to attack. Smith pushed forward into the pocket and landed a big shot on Worthy. In the process, though, Worthy landed a flush left hook of his own. Worthy definitely got the better of the exchange, as Smith was sent to the canvas and finished via Worthy’s ground and pound.
Some of Khama Worthy’s best attributes are his length, athleticism, and precision. He doesn’t have the pure power in his hands like some guys do, but he picks his shots well and when he lands, he lands clean. Don’t let that confuse you with a lack of power, though, as he can definitely put guys away when he lands flush. On the regional scene and in his UFC debut, Worthy has definitely used his kicks well to keep his distance. Another edge he will have in this fight is experience, with 21 fights under his belt to Azaitar’s 12.
For every good thing to be said about Khama Worthy, there are good things to be said about Ottman Azaitar. The German prospect has freakish power. Look no further than his UFC debut, when he knocked Teemu Packalen out cold with a right hand. There isn’t much more that needs to be said, watch for yourself (bottom video).
