Lawler, Robertson, Bermudez, Grice net $50k bonuses

UFC 157 went down tonight, capped off with Ronda Rousey collecting her sixth armbar victory in as many appearances. Four fighters from the undercard are the ones that walked away $50,000 richer with Robbie Lawler getting the KO, Kenny Robertson getting the sub and the all-out war between Bermudez and  Grice’s  earned the pair of featherweights fight of the night.

Lawler returned to the Octagon after a long hiatus at a new weight-class and weathered an early storm from former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck and after one mistake from Koscheck it proved to be fatal, unloading with a string of punches that put him down for the count.

Robertson, much like Lawler, was in trouble early with hot prospect Brock Jardine but was able to turn the tide, finishing with an obscure leg lock while remaining on the back of Jardine.

Grice and Bermudez might be the frontrunner for ‘Fight of the year’ at this point. Grice was clobbering Bermudez with stiff shots for a lot of the fight, having him in trouble on several occasions before the TUF runner-up rallied back in the final frame, dominating and almost finishing Grice.
