Leonard Garcia splitting duties between Jackson’s MMA and Team Alpha Male

In an interview published today with MMAFighting.com’s Shaun Al-Shatti, recent UFC cut Leonard Garcia has revealed he will be jumping putting in half his time with Jackson’s MMA and making his way to California for half his camp with Team Alpha Male. In the interview, Garcia said:

“I’m going to go out to Team Alpha Male for a little while. My cousin Duane Ludwig is out there, and I talked it over with Greg (Jackson). Greg said, ‘Yeah, the problem is guys that can take you down and hold you down.’ And now I’m going to go to a whole team of guys who are really, really good at that.”

We’ve seen Garcia have difficulty with strong wrestlers in the past, so hopefully some time with Urijah Faber and the countless other strong grapplers at Team Alpha Male will pay dividends. In the same interview, Garcia noted that while he has received offers, he has not committed to joining another promotion as yet.  For the full interview, click here.
