Luke Rockhold submits Tim Boestch, calls out Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping

Welterweights Tim Boetsch and Luke Rockhold were on a collision course on Saturday night’s UFC 172 main card in Baltimore, Maryland.

Unfortunately for Boestch though, he wasn’t able to mount any successful offense as he succumbed to a bitter first round defeat.

After catching a kick, Boestch found himself trapped in a reverse triangle following a rolling exchange. Rockhold was absolutely adamant in letting the position go and stuck to it. He went for a kimura which was unsuccessful at first,  but as Boestch continued to struggle, the AKA native secured another kimura which promptly forced a tap from Boestch.

In his pre-fight interview with Joe Rogan, the former Strikeforce champ called out Vitor Belfort, who defeated him in his UFC debut, and Michael Bisping, citing “personal business.”

Final Result: Luke Rockhold def. Tim Boetsch via Submission (Kimura) at 2:08 of Round 1
