UFC on FOX 8 has it’s first announced match-up and it’s in the lightweight division, as Mac Danzig will square off against Melvin Guillard.
Officials announced the match-up on Wednesday.
Danzig (21-10-1) last fought at UFC on FUEL TV 6, where he lost a split decision to Takanori Gomi. The season 6 winner of the Ultimate Fighter is 3-6 in his last nine fights.
Guillard (30-12-2) has been in the news recently due to the fact that he has left the Blackzilians. According to Guillard he was going to head back to his former home in Albuquerque at Team Jackson’s MMA, however they voted against him coming back. He is currently riding a two fight losing streak, most recently losing to Jamie Varner at UFC 155.
The last time the UFC made its way to Seattle was for UFC on FOX 5 this past December. In the main event of that card Benson Henderson defended his UFC lightweight championship against Nate Diaz.
