UFC 180 went down in Mexico City, Mexico tonight, featuring a main event clash for the interim UFC Heavyweight Title. The #1 ranked Fabricio Werdum took on short notice challenger, #4 Mark Hunt. The first round saw Hunt not only knock down his Brazilian opponent, but also take him down and survive where most heavyweights fear to tread: Werdum’s vaunted guard. The second round started out in a manner similar to the first, until “Vai Cavalo” landed a surprise knee strike that floored “The Super Samoan” and then followed it up with hammerfists en route to the stoppage victory.
