MMA Vets Knuckle Up in BKFC on DAZN Hollywood Prelims

‘Tis the season to be jolly, but as the Christmas holiday looms, ’tis the season for BKFC on DAZN Hollywood this coming Saturday. Three days before the jolly old man known as Santa Claus makes his trek across Earth delivering presents to all the good little boys and girls, he’ll take time out from his preparations to retreat to his rec room, turn on DAZN and watch some good, old-fashioned combat sports.

While the schedule of combat sports is going to be light in the loafers over the next few weekends due to the festive season, make no mistake: There is no shortage of action to be had. It starts inside the United States on Saturday night with BKFC on DAZN Hollywood from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Saturday is a busy day for DAZN. Earlier that afternoon (US time), ahead of BKFC on DAZN Hollywood in primetime, the subscription-based streaming service is the place to be for an anticipated boxing pay-per-view, highlighted by Oleksandr Usyk taking on Tyson Fury in a rematch for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.

MMA Alumni Square Off in BKFC on DAZN Hollywood Prelims

Live coverage of BKFC on DAZN Hollywood begins at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on DAZN with the prelims before moving onto main card action at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT. In total, barring any last-minute adjustments to the bout order, the final version of the card features 11-bare knuckle bouts.

Our focus on this day is the undercard. As far as the BKFC on DAZN Hollywood prelims are concerned for Saturday night, the pickings are slim with only two fights being held ahead of the main card. Longtime fans of MMA, however, will recognize some of the names booked to appear during the prelims.

Sabah Homasi Makes BKFC Promotional Debut During BKFC on DAZN Hollywood Featured Prelim

Viewers of both the UFC and Bellator MMA are already familiar with the name Sabah Homasi. During his career inside the cage, Homasi amassed an overall record of 17-12, including a first-round knockout by way of punches against Micah Terrell (15-11, 1 NC MMA) during his Bellator MMA promotional debut five years ago in Bellator 225.

He hasn’t fought in a combat sporting event in 15 months, leaving Bellator in the interim back in January. This hiatus ends on Saturday night when he knuckles up with six-fight veteran Eduardo Peralta (3-3 MMA) in the BKFC on DAZN Hollywood featured prelim at middleweight.

Peralta turned his attention fully to bare-knuckle boxing in November 2022, having gone 2-2 in his first four career BKFC appearances. Currently, he’s won two fights in a row, both by way of knockout, including a second-round stoppage with one second remaining on the clock versus Deron Carlis.

Who emerges victorious this time?

BKFC on DAZN Hollywood Co-Featured Prelim Pits Amateur Fighter Walker Against Blume

Immediately beforehand, the co-featured undercard bout in BKFC on DAZN Hollywood sees heavyweight action in the ring when Brock Walker (0-1 bare-knuckle), a 14-fight veteran of the amateur MMA scene, steps into the ring against Nicholas Blume (BKFC debut) .

Initially, these two men were slated to fight one another more than a month ago during BKFC Montana, but the contest was postponed to Dec. 21 for reasons unknown. Brock Walker went 4-10 in his amateur MMA career and has already fought once under bare-knuckle boxing rules, losing by way of unanimous decision against Harrison Aiken back in September.

Walker tasted success in traditional boxing last month, besting Jason King in just one minute and nine seconds into the opening round.  Can Brock Walker parlay that into a BKFC win?

In the other corner, Nicholas Blume enters this fight, his professional debut, knowing that he’ll be fighting in his home state. Will the Floridian give his fans an early Christmas present?
