MMASucka Staff Picks: UFC 311 Betting Predictions

This Saturday, Los Angeles plays host to one of the most anticipated combat sports events in recent years in UFC 311. Headlining this massive show is none other than the promotion’s pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev and one of the lightweight division’s most entertaining names in Renato Moicano.

Makhachev Could Eclipse Promotional Record at UFC 311

Standing on the cusp of becoming the best 155-lb fighter in company history, Makhachev has the chance to break the current record for most title defenses at lightweight with four in a row if he turns away his latest challenger. Having strung together a massive four fight win streak, Moicano faces his toughest test to date as he fills in on short notice against Makhachev after Arman Tsarukyan was forced off the card due to injury.

UFC 311 Co-Main Event

Before that, however, reigning UFC Bantamweight Champion Merab Dvalishvili will attempt to hand Umar Nurmagomedov his first ever defeat. Seizing the belt from Sean O’Malley at UFC 306, the Georgian-born wrestler dominated his American foe en route to a comfortable unanimous decision victory. Going largely untested over the course of his tenure in the promotion, Nurmagomedov earned his second main event showdown after an August victory in Abu Dhabi versus long-time 135-lb contender Cory Sandhagen.

More Bouts On the UFC 311 Main Card

For the rest of the bouts on the main card, two former light heavyweight title holders Jiří Procházka and Jamahal Hill battle it out in a sure-fire Fight of the Night winner. Then, Jailton Almeida attempts halt the ascent of Serghei Spivac. Finally, fan-favorite Kevin Holland welcomes previous ONE Championship double champion Reinier de Ridder to his first UFC pay-per-view event.

UFC 311 Betting Predictions and Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL) with Bellator MMA, ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).

  • UFC picks will include main card fights ranging from four to six matchups per event.
  • PFL and Bellator MMA see picks from main cards for pay-per-views and from tournament fights in the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Finals.
  • ONE FC and DWCS picks will feature all MMA fights from the event with a minimum of three matchups.

The individual who picks the most victorious fighters by the end of 2025 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a detailed chain from Championship Chains. Staff picks in 2023 were won by Ben Jamieson with a record of 300-148.
