MMASucka Staff Picks: UFC Fight Night 255 Betting Predictions

This weekend, former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards competes once more in his adoptive country of England as he takes on grappling ace Sean Brady at UFC Fight Night 255. Before that, though, Jan Błachowicz will make his first Octagon appearance in almost two years against streaking New Zealander Carlos Ulberg.

Main Event

Surrendering his belt after two back-to-back defenses to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304, Edwards has the chance to get himself back into the win column in a substantial way on Saturday. With a victory over the seemingly unstoppable Brady, “Rocky” may just earn another opportunity to regain his strap from his nemesis.

Currently riding a two-fight win streak after dropping his zero to the aforementioned Muhammad, Brady has nearly cemented himself as a clear contender for the 170-lb throne. If he manages to topple the man whom many consider to be the top kickboxer in the division, then there will be no denying the Philadelphian representative a well-deserved title shot.

Co-Main Event

Out of action since July 2023, Błachowicz was forced to remain on the sidelines while the 205-lb class moved by without him, missing out on several key and interesting matchups. Cleared to step back into the cage with a clean bill of health, the Pole will look to remind the competition that he was at one point in the not-so-distant past the best fighter in the category.

Other than losing his promotional debut all the way back in 2021, Ulberg has looked completely dominant in his UFC tenure, so far. Winner of seven contests in a row, including four first round knockouts, “Black Jag” can add a revered name to his resume by overcoming the returning Błachowicz.

More Bouts On the Main Card

On the rest of the main card, Icelandic Jiu-Jitsu specialist Gunnar Nelson battles fan-favorite Kevin Holland. Next, UK MMA star Molly McCann faces company newcomer Alexia Thainara. Then, Jordan Vucenic duels Chris Duncan. Finally, England’s Nathaniel Wood tangos against veteran French competitor Morgan Charrière.

UFC Fight Night 255 Betting Predictions and Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).

  • UFC picks will include main card fights ranging from four to six matchups per event.
  • PFL picks from main cards for pay-per-views and from tournament fights in the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Finals.
  • ONE FC and DWCS picks will feature all MMA fights from the event with a minimum of three matchups.

The individual who picks the most victorious fighters by the end of 2025 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a detailed chain from Championship Chains. Staff picks in 2023 were won by Ben Jamieson with a record of 300-148.
