MMASucka UFC Perth 4 Staff Picks: Can Reyes Secure Amazing Third Title Shot In Australia?

Inbound for their fourth trip to Perth, Australia, the UFC delivers on a stellar light heavyweight showcase bout, as New Zealand native Carlos Ulberg takes on former two-time title challenger Dominick Reyes. In the co-main event, Jimmy Crute attempts to reembark on a years-long quest toward the 205-lb championship by locking horns with Ivan Erslan.

UFC Perth 4 Event

Undefeated since 2021, Ulberg has positioned himself on the cusp of challenging for the light heavyweight strap. With five finishes in his last seven bouts, “Black Jag” is on a mission to become the first man from his country to earn UFC gold in his division.

Rebounding from a devastating four-fight skid with three victories in a row, Reyes has seemingly reinvented himself and has once more become the elite contender that terrorized the weight class. Now just one triumph away from netting a third title shot, “The Devastator” is poised for a major comeback should he manage to get his hand raised this Saturday.

UFC Perth 4 Co-Main Event

Following a two-year absence from the sport, Crute returned to action this past February at UFC 312, taking Rodolfo Bellato to a majority draw. Picking up a win in his most recent contest over Marcin Prachnio, “The Brute” walks into his third scrap of 2025 entirely rejuvenated at UFC Perth.

A veteran of the European regional scene, including seven fights under the KSW banner, Erslan is in desperate need of a win in the wake of two consecutive losses. Likely fighting for his roster spot in the UFC, the Croatian enters Australia with all the pressure in the world to jump back into the winner’s circle.

More Bouts On the UFC Perth 4 Main Card

Rounding out the main card, touted finisher Jack Jenkins faces off with Ramon Taveras. Then, Jake Matthews and Neil Magny throw down in an exciting prospect versus veteran match. Finally, Tom Nolan and Charlie Campbell put their three-fight winning streaks on the line when they meet in the main card opener.

UFC Perth 4 Predictions and Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).

  • UFC picks will include main card fights ranging from four to six matchups per event.
  • PFL picks from main cards for pay-per-views and from tournament fights in the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Finals.
  • ONE FC and DWCS picks will feature all MMA fights from the event with a minimum of three matchups.

The individual who picks the most victorious fighters by the end of 2025 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a detailed chain from Championship Chains. Staff picks in 2023 were won by Ben Jamieson with a record of 300-148.
