MMASucka’s Bellator 260 Staff Picks

Part two of our MMASucka staff picks triple-header weekend is set. Bellator 260 will take place later today, June 11 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main card will begin at 9:00pm ET (6:00pm PT) live on Showtime.

Recap our staff picks from Thursday night’s PFL 4 2021 event in Atlantic City. Also, stay tuned to MMASucka tomorrow afternoon for our stacked UFC 263 main card picks.

The Fights

Gold is on the line in tonight’s main event between current Bellator welterweight king Douglas Lima and challenger Yaroslav Amosov. Three-time divisional champion Lima returns to 170 pounds after attempting to become a title holder in two separate weight classes, falling short to middleweight champ Gegard Mousasi by decision last October. The Brazilian looks for his first win since defeating Rory MacDonald in the 2018-2019 Grand Prix finals while targeting only his second-ever defense. Lima’s opponent, Amosov, will look for a 26th straight win tonight having been undefeated since June of 2012. Impressive performances in Bellator over fighters like Ed Ruth and Logan Storley have propelled the 27-year-old Ukrainian to his first chance at a promotional championship.

Two usual suspects at welterweight of Paul Daley and Jason Jackson will faceoff in the co-main event at a contract weight of 175 pounds. 62-fight veteran and former title challenger Daley looks for a fourth straight, lastly finishing off Sabah Homasi by technical knockout in April. Former Titan FC welterweight champion Jackson looks to one up Daley with a potential fifth win in-a-row, most recently handing Neiman Gracie his second professional defeat.
