MMASucka’s PFL 3 2022 Staff Picks

Our triple-header weekend continues forward for our MMASucka staff picks with the second of three stacked fight cards.

PFL 3 2022 will go down in a few short hours tonight, May 6 from the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event marks the Professional Fighters League’s halfway point of the Regular Season with three additional weekly fight cards slated to kick off in mid-June. Preliminary action will begin at 5:30pm ET (2:30pm PT) on ESPN+ with the main card card starting at 9:00pm ET (6:00pm PT) on both ESPN+ and ESPN 2.

Live results from the entire PFL 3 2022 fight card will be available here at MMASucka.

Be sure to recap our staff picks for this afternoon’s Bellator 280 event in Paris. Also, stay tuned Saturday for our UFC 274: Oliveira vs. Gaethje staff picks.

The Fights

PFL fighters in women’s lightweight (155 pounds) and men’s welterweight (170 pounds) divisions will square off at tonight’s Regular Season fight card. In the featured main event, 2019 and 2021 lightweight tournament champion Kayla Harrison will look to further her dominance against Russia’s Marina Mokhnatkina.

2021 women’s lightweight semi-finalist Genah Fabian and two-time defending welterweight tournament king Ray Cooper III both missed the respected weight limits for their scheduled matchups. Although their fights will still take place tonight, both are ineligible for points towards making the playoffs.

An additional men’s lightweight fight between Anthony Pettis and Myles Price will also take place at tonight’s event, as both fighters look to secure points in the 155-pound weight class.

As a results of Visa issues, Magomed Magomedkerimov has been forced out of his fight with Joao Zeferino. Although Dilano Taylor has been named the replacement opponent for Magomedkerimov, the fight will not be included in our staff picks.

Staff Picks

Staff picks in 2022 will follow the same set of rules from the 2021 season. Throughout the calendar year, staff picks will be composed of main card fights from both UFC and Bellator events. Main card fights and selected preliminary fights will be included for PFL MMA. Dana White’s Contender Series will be composed of the entire fight card; dates for this promotion’s return are soon-to-be announced.

The WINNER of staff picks in 2022 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a chain from Championship Chains. A winner is determined simply by the individual correctly picking the most victorious fighters at the year’s end. Nate Freeman secured his first victory with MMASucka in 2021 with a compiled record 243-136.
