MMASucka’s UFC Fight Night 140 staff picks

MMASucka’s staff picks are in for tonight’s event, UFC Fight Night 140. The promotion will be heading to Argentina for the very first time in its 25 years of business, taking place at the Estadio Mary Teran de Weiss in Buenos Aires. In the main event, Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio will look to make sound in the UFC’s welterweight division. Magny currently hosts a two-fight win streak, looking to score his fifteenth total victory inside the octagon. Oppositely, Ponzinibbio is looking to stretch his streak of victories to seven in the UFC, dating back to December of 2015.

In the co-main event, long-time UFC veterans Ricardo Lamas and Darren Elkins will meet in the featherweight division. Also competing on the main card includes a sure-to-see finish between Khalil Rountree and debutant Johnny Walker; a middleweight bout between Brazil’s Cezar Ferreira and Ian Heinisch; a TUF: Latin American teammate reunion scrap between Guido Cannetti and Marlon Vera; and the only female fight on the card, Cynthia Calvillo (who missed weight by two pounds, being fined 20% of her purse) fighting Poliana Botelho.

The WINNER of staff picks will have a chance to receive a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts following completion of the 2018 calendar year! The 2017 winner was awarded to Wesley Riddle, compiling a record of 118-74 for main card fights. Staff picks compose of both Bellator and UFC fights taken place on the main card.

Check out our MMASucka staff picks for UFC Fight Night 140: Magny vs. Ponzinibbio, as well as our current records compiled throughout the 2018 year.
