MMASucka’s UFC Fight Night 141 staff picks

MMASucka staff picks are in for this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 141. All of the action will begin tomorrow morning, November 24th, from the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China. The preliminary card will begin at 3:15am ET (12:15am PT) with the main card beginning at 6:00am ET (3:00am PT). The event will take place live on UFC Fight Pass.

THE FIGHTS

In the main event, a critical heavyweight rematch will take place between #3-ranked Curtis Blaydes and #4-ranked Francis Ngannou. Their first meeting took place back in April of 2016, where Ngannou captured victory by TKO as a result to doctor stoppage at the end of the second round; Blaydes unable to see due to a swollen right eye. Since, Blaydes has won six in-a-row (including the “No Contest” victory where he tested positive for marijuana) including a recent TKO over Alistair Overeem. Ngannou had scored four more victories following his Blaydes win but has dropped two fights by decision here in 2018: a five-rounder against Stipe Miocic for the title, and a three-rounder to Derrick Lewis.

The co-main event will feature another heavyweight battle between long-time veteran Alistair Overeem and highly-touted newcomer Sergey Pavlovich. Overeem is in need of a victory after suffering two straight knockout losses to both main event fighters, Blaydes and Ngannou. Pavlovich has yet to suffer defeat in his professional career with twelve victories, nine coming by TKO in the first round.

Fan-favorite Li Jingliang will face off against Germany’s David Zawada on the main card, as well as a bantamweight clash between Song Yadong and UFC newcomer Vince Morales.

The WINNER of staff picks will have a chance to receive a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts following completion of the 2018 calendar year! The 2017 winner was awarded to Wesley Riddle, compiling a record of 118-74 for main card fights. Staff picks compose of both Bellator and UFC fights taken place on the main card.
