At the UFC 162 post-fight press conference, president Dana White announced that Multi-City tours were on hand for the next four PPVs of the calendar year, which includes UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson, UFC 166: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3, UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks & UFC 168: Rousey vs. Tate 2.

Multi-City tours planned for next four PPVs of 2013

Jon Jones (18-1), one of the world’s top pound-for-pound MMA fighters, will defend his 205-lbs strap for the 5th time against a fighter of similar build and length – Alexander Gustafsson (15-1), at UFC 165. With Jones running rampant on the list of Light-Heavyweight contenders, Gustafsson may prove to be his toughest test to date. UFC 165 takes place on September 21st at the Air Canada Centre situated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Slated for October 19th in at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, UFC 166 will play host to the third installment of Cain Velasquez (12-1) vs. Junior Dos Santos (16-2). The 1st meeting saw Dos Santos destroy Velasquez in just over a minute in the UFC’s debut on the FOX network but a newer and hungrier Velasquez emerged in the 2nd meeting, evening the odds in a one-sided 5 round victory. The 3rd outing between both these fighters may be the final chapter between the two which will very well decide who really is the baddest man on the planet.

Long time Welterweight kingpin, Georges St-Pierre (24-2) will put his 170-lbs strap and 11-fight win streak on the line as he takes on top contender Johny Hendricks (15-1) at UFC 167. GSP has long been considered one of the greatest Mixed Martial Artists of all time, but a foe in Hendricks, who has displayed great wrestling and knockout power, awaits him on November 16th in a yet-to-named arena/venue in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lastly, a UFC 168 title bout pitting Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (7-0) against Miesha Tate (13-4) will be the final straw of the list of announced city-tours. The two women will serve as head coaches on the 18th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series, before their scheduled fight on December 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both female athletes will be facing each other for the second time following their first encounter in the now defunct Strikeforce promotion, in which Rousey won by submission.
