A light heavyweight match-up between heavy strikers Thiago Silva and Ovince St. Preux is set for UFC Fight Night 35 in Georgia.
UFC officials announced the match-up on Wednesday.
Thiago Silva vs Ovince St. Preux set for UFC Fight Night 35
Silva (16-3 2NC) is currently riding a two-fight winning streak, since returning from his seven-month layoff due to being suspended for marijuana. Most recently Silva defeated Matt Hamill at UFC Fight Night 29, however he failed to make weight.
St. Preux (14-5) is coming off a giant knockout victory over Cody Donovan at UFC Fight Night 26. St.Preux is on a three-fight winning streak and since coming in to the UFC from Strikeforce he has won two in a row.
UFC Fight Night 35 goes down on January 15 from the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga. The main event is a middleweight showdown between Luke Rockhold and Constantinos Philipppou.
